Individual dispersal status influences space use of conspecific residents in the common lizard, Lacerta vivipara

The effects of immigration on the behaviour of residents may have important implications for the local population characteristics. A manipulative laboratory experiment with yearlings of the common lizard (Lacerta vivipara) was performed to test whether the introduction of dispersing or philopatric individuals influences the short-term spacing behaviour of resident individuals. Staged encounters were carried out to induce interactions within dyads. The home cage of each responding individual was connected by a corridor to an unfamiliar “arrival cage” to measure the latency to leave their own home cage after each encounter. Speaking out against everyday sexism : Gender and epistemics in accusations of “mansplaining”

In everyday interaction, subtle manifestations of sexism often pass unacknowledged and become internalised and thus perceived as “natural” conduct. The introduction of new vocabularies for referring to previously unnamed sexist conduct would presumably enable individuals to start problematising hitherto unchallengeable sexism. La 3,4-metilendioximetanfetamina (MDMA), una sustancia popularmente conocida como éxtasis, es una droga ilícita consumida habitualmente por adolescentes y adultos jóvenes. Además, el policonsumo es una práctica habitual entre los usuarios de la MDMA, siendo la cocaína una de las drogas más frecuentemente asociadas a esta sustancia.
